In 2024 we used Modest and Marian to complete a renovation and extension to our 1930s bungalow home in the inner west. We extended upstairs creating two additional bedrooms and an en-suite while downstairs we extended out, creating an open plan kitchen/dining and laundry room. We couldn’t have been more pleased on how the project went. From start to finish, the guys were a pleasure to deal with. They were competitively priced and started and finished the project on time and on budget. Throughout the build we made some changes and alterations, which were never an issue. I would highly recommend MSJ Building Services and would definitely use them again for future projects.

We contracted MSJ Building – Modest, Mario and team to complete a full renovation of our c. 1920 art deco family home.

This involved the significant simplification of the floor plan, removal of load bearing walls and the creation of an additional bedroom plus ensuite for the master bedroom all within the existing roof line. In addition, we added a large deck and entertainment area with a storeroom / workshop below.

MSJ Building are the old fashioned builders – they do everything, building, gyprock, brick laying, plastering, plumbing, electrical, tiling, carpentry and painting. This results in a compressed time schedule, not waiting for contractors.

They are very accommodating for us to engage our interior designer and for us to supply key items – doors, windows, bathroom, kitchens, fittings etc.

Communication is key when you are completing a major building job (ie: no surprises) and MSJ Building were excellent especially in relation to cost where additional work was beyond the agreed specification. In addition, they were very cost competitive in relation to other quotes we sourced.

We essentially completed our renovation on time and within budget and when it was completed, we got MSJ Building to do the tidy up jobs, front fence, side fence, driveway etc. There is nothing these guys can’t do.

MSJ Building came highly recommended to us and we can't recommend them enough. Excellent experience – thank you Modest, Mario and team.

I have no hesitation recommending MSJ Building Services. They have completed 4 major renovations for us now and I am very confident in their honest, quality and value for money work. Any renovation is in their scope.
